There have been many cloudy, dreary days this month and just a few nice, warm and sunny days. Some days it has been dark and depressing inside. I have tried to bring in more light or go for a walk and that does help some but I'm not sure it is enough.
I have spent too much time sitting in my easy chair reading.
Hopefully, February will be better.
Mama Bear
Good for you on pushing yourself to get outside and into the light. Believe me I have been very lazy and I'm still packing up Christmas! Happy New Year....
ReplyDeleteI've struggled a bit as my husband's job transitioned to where he works part time at home. That upended my own schedule at home. Now that he has his home office back (his mom was staying there while we cared for her, but she passed away last January), it helps. But I've sometimes thought this is a preview of what retirement might be like.
ReplyDeleteJanuary used to be really hard for me, with the darkness, coldness, lack of growing things. I still don't like that part. But I do appreciate the rest it brings after the fun but busy December. It has been overcast here, too, more than I like.
Good for you for getting out when you can. I hope and pray February is better.
Getting out once in awhile will help with any down feelings. Our oldest son has the family trait of being depressed (actually both boys inherited this trait from Hubby's side of the family). He was told to take vitamin D especially in the winter by a therapist. Give it a try and see how it works for you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I have to agree with you Mama Bear, I too find January a little 'empty' after the business of December. We usually head off with our caravan to visit family over the Christmas period but this last Christmas, we did meet up with some of our family but no van in tow. It felt strange I have to say. However, we do have a trip away next
ReplyDeleteweek for a few days to celebrate Australia Day along with our wedding anniversary. Quite looking forward to it. Keep positive Mama and think of some great things you have planned in the coming months. Cheers from Down Under.
