A Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY
Tuesday, January 5, 2016

Outside my window...
The sun is shining and it is finally winter
It is 42 degrees but feels like 37
Birds and Squirrels are busy feeding

I am thinking...
I hear a motor out front and
wonder which type of pick-up
service is out there, I think it is
the large item truck because
he's staying in one place so long

I am thankful...
for life, health, contentment

In the kitchen...
I've just taken the cornbread out
of the oven, there's a pot of Great
Northern Beans simmering, and
fried Okra from the freezer, heating
this along with some fresh Rutabagas
will be Honey Bear's lunch and dinner

I am wearing...
Navy knit pants, a red plaid flannel
shirt and house shoes

I am creating...
I just finished this on the weekend
it is for the Princess

I am going...
to stay home today

I am reading...
Same as last time, I am
finding this Marc Cameron
Novel to be a slow read...
I had to take a break and read:
Die Trying, a Jack Reacher novel
that I had on hold at the library

I am hoping...
to finish this book soon so I can read something
light and fluffy

I am looking forward to...
Book Club on Friday, we'll be choosing books
for the year

Around the house...
the Christmas 'stuff' has been
put away..I'm thinking of ways to
make my house less
cluttered

A favorite quote for today...
"And then my heart with pleasure fills
and dances with daffodils" William Wadsworth

One of my favorite things...
watching for the first signs of Spring

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Grocery store tomorrow..
My mission group is making and
serving lunch to the
students at BCM on Thursday..
and Book Club on Friday

From my photo album...

  2. Oh my goodness...I love the vest!!! It is actually cold in my neck of the woods today and I was beginning to wonder if cold weather would ever get to me! Happy New Year! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
