30 Days of Thanksgiving

Day 17
I'm thankful for Honey Bear's Job!
I guess we're a little old fashioned but its the way we were raised so blame it on our roots. My man believes that the husband is head of the house and that part of his role is to provide for his family. He never wanted me to work outside the home. I've had a few jobs through the years but we never depended on what I made to pay bills or buy groceries.
Who knows, we might have done things differently if we had been just starting out in today's world.

  1. Amen. I don't think it is old-fashioned -- I think it is Biblical. I don't think that means a wife can never work but rather than her first ministry is her home, and personally, I had a hard enough time keeping up with home when the kids were younger even without a job.

  2. I did not know you have a second blog! I have been missing out! My sweet hubby does not want me going to work.. Now that Mom and Dad are gone I have a LOT of time on my hands....... soooooo I am going to get busy and make some dolls and stuff and start an Etsy shop....... that should keep me out of trouble........ BUT the economy is not going to get any better so some days I really consider a job........... NOT!!!!!

    Have a great Wednesday girl.........

  3. I tried to follow this blog but Google will not let me in right now. I will try later........ :)

  4. In today's economy, it's wonderful to still have a job.
