A Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...
Monday, March 21, 2016
9:40 a.m.
Outside my window...
The sun is shinning, everything is green
its 47 degrees
A Bible verse I'm sharing...
1 Timothy 1:5 The purpose
of my instruction is that all believers be
filled with the love that comes
from a pure heart, a clear conscience,
and genuine faith.
I am thinking...
that I am finally on track with
my food and exercise
after many false starts
I am thankful...
for this beautiful start
to Spring, although it
was cold the last two nights
I am wearing...
pajamas and robe
I know it is getting
late to not be dressed
but I wanted to do this post
and then dress to go walking
I am creating...
putting the finishing
touches on this
I am going...
to go for a walk soon
just waiting for the temperature
to rise a little
I am wondering...
how the Princess is doing
at school today
she was really dreading
returning after
Spring Break
I am reading...
Product Details
I am hoping...
to start on the baby quilt today
I have it pinned and ready
to quilt
I am learning...
to do free motion
quilting on
a quilt as you go prject
with Leah Day
In his garden...
the soil is ready for planting
and many plants
are already up in
small cups
A song that stays on my mind...
 In my kitchen...
Lots of leftovers
A favorite quote for today...
Mid pleasures and palaces
though we may roam,
be it ever so humble,
there's no place like home
...Howard Payne
From my photo album...

 One of my favorite things...
going for a walk

  1. I think I've finally gotten on track with exercising but am still working on the food. It seems like I should be losing more than I am (have lost 15 lbs. so far) for all the exercise and things I am resisting, but I imagine I just need to take a closer look at what I can change in my eating.

We originally had snow forecast for yesterday, but I am so glad we didn't get it. It did get down in the 30s but is supposed to be nicer later in the week.

  5. That quilt! It is absolutely beautiful. I tried my hand at quilting and made a few simple patterned quilts for gifts one year for Christmas. I always thought that I would like to pick it up again, but really am not very good at it.
