A Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...
Tuesday, June 30, 2015

Outside my window...
It is 79 degrees with cloudy skies
and a slight breeze...I can
hear the wind chimes...a Wren is
searching for insects among my
potted flowers, Finches are on the feeder...
Geraniums and the Butterfly Bush are
blooming...
I am thinking...
I should finish this quickly
I am thankful...
for the inch of rain we received
on Friday...we'd only had a quarter
inch all month before that...also
for the cooler temperatures since then
I am wearing...
denim crops and a dark peach top
I am creating...

recognize this? I hadn't worked on
it in about 8 months but got it
out yesterday and plan to finish it soon....
I've also sorted some fabric for the
rest of Gardener's Journey...
I'm getting excited about seeing the finished
project...
I am going...
no where else today
I went to the post office and
Wally World earlier...I want
to can some tomatoes on Thursday
and I needed some more pint jars
I am wondering...
what is wrong with blogger or is
it my computer
I am reading...
National Security
by Marc Cameron
I am hoping...
I'm able to publish this when
I'm finished....my cues are
not being read correctly
In my garden...

A song that stays on my mind...

In my kitchen...
just took this Blackberry
Cobbler out of the oven
A favorite quote for today...
Smokey asleep on the foot of my
recliner earlier this morning
One of my favorite things...
rain when we need it most...

  1. That cross stitch piece is really pretty. That cobbler looks really good, too.
