A Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...
Tuesday, June 2, 2015
Outside my window...
the grass and porch are wet from recent rain..
Squirrels are eating on the ground around the feeder..
Chickadees and Titmouse dart in to grab seed and go..
sort of like a drive through....Robins are searching..
for worms to feed their young..I'm
hearing a neighbor or a lawn service using a..
weed eater...my new Butterfly Bush is blooming..
the old one was killed by the winter's extreme temperatures..
that one was purple but this one is a beautiful red color..
the old one was several years old..
A Bible verse I'm sharing...
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven
Ecclesiastes 3:1
I am thinking...
this is the first time I've blogged in weeks..
I've been helping Daughter and Granddaughter..
pack and move..
I am thankful...
Daughter didn't want much help unpacking..
she wanted to do that herself.. she is a very
organized person and enjoys the process..
I'm thankful she and the children are back..
over here closer to me..
I am wearing...
white knit pants and a mauve top
I am creating...
nothing much except tidy spaces and journal pages..
I, so, need to get back in the craft room and get busy
I haven't even begun on this months' blocks for the
SAL quilt..
I am going...
to stay home the rest of the day....the Princess
and I went and moved a load of odds and ends in my
van about 2 hours ago...
I am wondering...
about lunch..
I am reading...
finished A Wanted Man by Lee Child
yesterday and haven't begun another yet...it was a
library loan...I need to check out another one(on Kindle)
I am hoping...
to finish this soon, getting hungry..
I went for a walk before the moving trip
an it has been a long time since my
granola bar at breakfast..
In my garden...

In my kitchen...
I'm warming the veggies I prepared last
night for Honey Bear's lunch to go with cornbread
and Cole slaw..there is also cantaloupe cut up
in the fridge..
A favorite quote for today...
"to reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometime with the
wind and sometimes against it but we must sail,
not drift and not lie at anchor."
Oliver Wendell Homes
From my photo album...
two of my favorite people
One of my favorite things...
making other people happy

  1. I think we might be getting your rain here now. It has been falling pretty much steadily since mid morning and from the looks of the sky will continue to do so.

I so enjoy seeing the pictures you post.

    God bless.
