A Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY
Tuesday, March 23, 2015

Outside my window...
58 degrees and sunny with a predicted high of
73......the porch is covered with those little buds from
the maple tree, blowing off everyday and can't keep
up with them....the grass, Elderberry bushes,
and peach trees are greening up nicely....
the fish in the pond have awakened
from their dormant state and are active again.....
we're getting lots of bird activity

I am thinking...
about plans for the day...thinking its almost 10:00 and I
need to get dressed for going out

I am thankful...
His mercy is new every day....he is with me always
thankful for Honey Bear, our children & grandchildren

In the kitchen...
a big pot of Spinach from the garden
and a Beef, Noodle bake

I am wearing...
pajamas and a robe with socks

I am creating...
just finished these March blocks for the SAL

I am going...
to run some errands and maybe browse at
Tuesday Morning

I am wondering...
what I can do to help my daughter and
the wee ones

I am reading...
The Rose Conspiracy
by Greg Parshall
just finished reading: Guests on Earth
by Lee Smith, for Book Club
and The Invention of Wings
by Sue Monk Kidd

I am hoping...
I'll sleep better tonight

I am looking forward to...
Easter

I am learning
to pace myself

Around the house...
there's a little ironing to do....I've been
doing some Spring cleaning:
washing windows(inside & out), blinds, cleaning
behind furniture and sorting things

I am pondering...
Today's Bible Verse:
Take away my sin, and I will be clean,
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow..Psalm 5:17

A favorite quote for today...
"Cherish all your happy moments: they
make a fine cushion for old age."
C. Morley

One of my favorite things...
Wind chimes....I hung mine on the front porch
Saturday

A few plans for the rest of the week:
none really...I left this week open because of
Spring Break....thought I would help Daughter
with all she has to do to settle the estate and
sort out R's possessions

From my Picture file...
captured on St Simon's Island...
I was told this was one of many but only saw it after
I was back on the bus...

  1. I can't quite figure out what it is on the tree. The quilt blocks look cute.
