  4. It's so good to see you back on line again! Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog, concerning Ed's job loss. Yes, he was [sort of] planning to retire after November 2015, when he turned 66, so he will just retire earlier than planned. He was mainly working to have health insurance [for me], and so we could save money to buy a new car, at the end of the year.

We love spending time together, so being together won't be a problem. There's no place I'd rather be than with Ed.

I draw a very small check from my former job at the school, but it will take all of that to pay for health insurance for me. Things could be a bit tight until I turn 62, in 2016, and can start drawing my social security, too. We do have money set aside for emergencies, so we'll be okay. I will miss having all of the extra money, but money isn't everything!

I've been meaning to tell you that the reason I know we have at least 167 fish in our pond is because we replaced the liner, last spring. What a chore that was! We counted the fish as we netted every one of them, and didn't lose a one during the liner change.

My new chickens are just now beginning to lay eggs. I've gotten 3 this week, after a long dry spell from the old hens. We have 3 of the original hens left, and 7 new ones. We let the old hens free range, now, cause they've earned the right, but we keep the new ones in a pen.

Okay, I think you're caught up with my news now :)
