Today, I'm thankful for
simple things:
Coffee first thing in the morning
Two Rabbits playing in the back yard
Honey Bear and me dining out last night
Hearing from my son
A good book
A cool house
Fresh produce
The love and companionship of a good man
A clean house
Peace that surpasses all understanding
What are you thankful for today?
I like your thankful list.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for blogging friends like you! Thanks for the advice. I'm planning a get away day for this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteAll terrific things to be thankful for, to be sure! :)
ReplyDeleteIn answer to the question of why we removed the trees:
ReplyDeleteOver time, many of the pines had begun to lean in toward our home. Ed had already removed the smaller ones himself. Most of the trees had defects in them, like forked tops, or "sores", and some had recently become bug infested. It was only a matter of time before one fell and hit our house. We'd already had a 'near miss' and it scared us.
We had planned to leave a few trees, but the price was right, so we had all of the closest ones cut.
We'll miss having the shade close to our home, but we still have a few random trees around the yard, and woods still surround us on two sides. I'm afraid, at some point, we'll end up having a few more trees cut, at the edge of the woods, as they are beginning to lean, too.
Thanks for asking!
I have never become a morning coffee drinker or even tea but I do love a cup of coffee after dinner when we go out to eat! Bunnies....not my friend but they are cute. Skye goes bonkers when bunnies are in our yard waking us up at 6 am some mornings. They leave a mess of flower heads on the ground while they eat the stems. Fresh produce and a clean house are two things I love! Happy Thursday to you.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for many of the same things you are, especially the texts from our oldest son. He has been keeping us up to date on his trip to Cuba and it is great to know he is having a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteGod bless
Lovely list! I'm thankful for the ability to keep cool in the house during the summer as well. And for good health care people...and many other things. :-)
